About Us
Where Heritage Meets Comfort
PJs for the Culture is a Black-owned, family-founded sleepwear brand dedicated to representation, heritage, and matching family pajamas that celebrate Black joy, culture, and togetherness.
PJs for the Culture was created on a simple belief: everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in life’s most meaningful moments.
Founded in 2022 by mother-and-son duo Dallas Streeter and Vanessa Baird-Streeter, the brand was born from a desire to bring greater representation to a beloved tradition—matching family pajamas.
For years, festive sleepwear was everywhere, but images reflecting Black families, Black culture, and Black joy were often missing. We set out to change that.
What began with Black Santa pajamas has grown into a lifestyle sleepwear brand celebrating culture, family, tradition, community, and belonging.
More Than Pajamas
At PJs for the Culture, pajamas are more than sleepwear—they’re part of the memories we create.
Christmas morning with family.
Movie nights and vacations.
Family reunions and traditions passed down through generations.
These are the moments we design for—so our customers can celebrate not just the season, but who they are.
Representation Wrapped in Comfort
Our collections blend culturally inspired storytelling with elevated comfort and style. From our signature Black Santa designs to collections honoring community, heritage, and meaningful destinations, every piece begins with a story.
As we grow, so does that story. We are proud to offer collections including our Martha’s Vineyard “My Happy Place” Collection, our officially licensed Jack and Jill of America Family Night sleepwear, and new holiday designs created to bring even more joy and representation to family celebrations.
A Mother & Son Vision
PJs for the Culture is a family story at its core.
Dallas and Vanessa bring two generations, two perspectives, and one shared mission: to create something meaningful that families can make part of their own traditions.
Together, they are building a brand that celebrates culture while bringing families closer.
Because representation isn’t just about being seen—
it’s about feeling like you belong.
Welcome to PJs for the Culture
Where heritage meets comfort, representation meets celebration, and every family deserves to see themselves in the tradition.
